Jonathan M. Lively

Partner

Jonathan Lively, a Partner in Foley Mansfield’s Chicago office, has over two decades of experience defending his clients in courts across the country. His clients, which include product manufacturers and premises owners, trust Jonathan’s guidance when facing toxic/mass tort, environmental, products liability, premises liability, transportation, and other civil litigation matters.

Jonathan has acted as national trial counsel, national coordinating counsel, and primary local counsel, overseeing all aspects of the litigation process for thousands of matters per year. He has experience defending a broad range of products in personal injury and property damage matters, including medical devices and equipment, personal protective equipment, industrial and residential boilers, fluid and gas sealing systems, automobiles, raw materials, and more. Additionally, Jonathan regularly defends owners and operators of heavy industrial and retail facilities in cases of catastrophic accidents, environmental issues, and personal injury matters arising from operations on their premises.

Jonathan’s varied experience allows him to grasp the big picture, analyzing each client’s circumstances to determine the optimal strategy for handling their case – whether that be performing an aggressive case workup from inception to verdict or seeking an early resolution through arbitration.
