Amira Harmon

Attorney

Amira Harmon, an Associate in Foley Mansfield’s Edwardsville office, primarily handles matters for her clients in the area of insurance defense with an emphasis on asbestos defense.

Prior to joining Foley Mansfield, Amira gained valuable insight into the inner workings of the courts while serving in two federal chambers. Amira served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Karen Wells Roby of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and a judicial extern for the Honorable Dan A. Polster of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

While attending law school at Washington University School of Law, Amira served as a Legal Extern with two separate organizations; first, with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, and shortly after, with SSM Health, a health system headquartered in St. Louis, MO. In these roles, she gained experience drafting and reviewing a variety of documents including contracts and other legal documents, conducting key research and interviews, and assisting with the representation of various entities in aspects of labor and employment law and medical malpractice claims.
